Which documents do I need for vehicle registration?

To make your registration go smoothly, you need certain documents depending on the service. Here is the complete overview.
In short
For registration you need an eVB number, registration certificate Part II (or the CoC for new cars), your ID and a SEPA mandate. For an owner change, add Part I and the security codes; for deregistration, Part I and the plates with security codes are enough. With us you simply upload everything by photo.
For a new registration
Vehicle registration certificate or CoC for new cars, ID card or passport, the eVB number from your insurer and a SEPA mandate for the vehicle tax.
For an owner transfer / re-registration
Registration certificate Part I and II with the security codes, ID card and a new eVB number. The existing plate can often be kept.
For a deregistration
Registration certificate Part I and the plates with their security codes (stamp seals). An eVB is not required here.
